Biography
Born in 1986 in Montréal and raised in the small town of Rawdon, I always seek to be surrounded by nature. Of a highly contemplative nature even at a young age, I've always appreciated the beauty of plants, animals, and minerals. Photography has always been in my life, with both my parents being hobbyists.
Professionally oriented in a highly technical career in science, I have found my passion for photography to be the perfect marriage of technical finesse and artistic contemplation.
I try to capture the world the way I see it, full of colour, diversity and abundance.

Analog photography
To expand my technical repertoire, creative spectrum, and slow down the process of photography, I've taken an interest in traditional black and white analog photography on large-format film.
This medium is ideal to capture the detail and grandeur of nature. The slowness of the process forces me to be deliberate and methodical, as opposed to the speed and convenience of digital.
I am working on a series of photographs depicting the natural beauty of waterfalls. Eventually I intend to make these available in the store in true silver halide prints.
Passionate about Orchids
Some of my earliest memories are visiting the Jardin botanique de Montréal with my father. My wonder for nature was in full force in the greenhouses, and the orchids house was always my favorite. But I never dared try to grow them on my own.
In May 2022, that changed when I joined the Société des Orchidophiles de Montréal and started to cultivate my own orchids at home. Little did I know that it was the start of my great orchid adventure. I am now the official photographer of the society, giving me the chance to document the wonderful specimens grown by the Societie's members, many of which you can admire on this website. I am also an official American Orchid Society photographer, and document the plants brought to the Montréal Judging Centre.
I like the uniqueness of orchids, their panoply of shapes and colours, and their endless diversity. Discovering a new orchid bloom in my collection is the greatest reward borne of patience, rigour and a little bit of luck. Exactly the same as making a wonderful photograph!
